Honestly devastated. I went in optimistic that they’d give me what I wanted and they gave me the opposite. I got home and immediately cried from the haircut I received. I asked for a wispy fringe and was given a thick straight across with uneven feathering on the sides. Me and my mum tried our best to style it and make it look okay but it’s hopeless. I look and feel ridiculous and this salon has made me anxious of ever going to another.

Booked an appointment for 09:30 for my daughters haircut. Arrived at 09:15, there was a male hairdresser drying someone’s hair. He said “hello?” I told him we have a 9.30 apt, he abruptly said “you’re early” then turned back around not acknowledging us any more. I told him we can walk around and come back. We came back at 09.27 to see he had someone else in his chair, just starting a new cut. We waited. At 10ish a female hairdresser came I, dropped her bag and ushered my daughter to the chair. She said “trim?” I showed her a Google image of what we wanted to show what feathered meant.
Watching the hairdresser work was unlike anything I’ve seen before, she looked very inexperienced and not friendly at all. The end result was bad. I actually stepped in and asked her to stop cutting the thick fridge she has created, that was NOT asked for.
I wish I has read the reviews before going but was confident a salon in the centre of town would be OK…. I was very very wrong. Ps the Google images of the salon are not what you’ll find when you get there. Awful
Reading all the amazing reviews I decided to book my appointment with Alex. When I arrived at the salon I was told that he is not working here anymore. I think I understood when she was using her hands to tell me. Lots of people were there including running children around. I felt like someone cut my hair in the street. Chair was so low, so I couldn’t see myself in the mirror. She used dirty brushes to do my hair. She couldn’t speak English. I asked her to do bob , she said trim Yes? I said no bob. Then she cut my hair. I want her to shorten my front hair, she cut at the back instead! and then she laughed. Really? All the time she was talking to other people in different languages, not concentrating on what she was doing. I have to go to another hairdresser to fix all the mess that she made! I will not use this salon ever again. I was shocked!
Very happy with the service at Salon Central. I really appreciate the work they’ve done today. So a big thank you! Definitely will come back soon.
It came up on my memories that 4 years ago today i had a colour correction done at this salon, and my hair came back damaged, breaking, I lost my hair and now have a bald patch.
It has taken 4 years and help from another salon to get healthy hair again.
They didn’t even offer me a refund at the time just a recolour as the colour was what I asked for, and I think this done more damage then good.
My hair shouldn’t have looked like this coming our of a paid salon visit.
Would not recommend even 4 years down the line!
I want to thank the other salon for teaching me about caring for my hair.
This salon has put me off ever going to salon again.
